BR's Safe Hopeful Healthy Neighborhoods Project Calls for Participants

BECOME A CHANGE AGENT!

To build a great community, Baton Rouge needs great ideas and great community leaders - People Like YOU! If you believe everyone deserves to live in a safe, hopeful neighborhood, desire to learn from national and local leaders, and if you want to make an impact in your neighborhood, apply to join the Community Change Agent Academy. 

This academy is created to inspire and empower you with the necessary tools to effect the change that you want to see. You will learn about grant writing, project management, and how community development is, or isn't, getting done in our city.

Also, did we mention the academy is FREE and all neighborhoods that participate will receive a grant of up to $2500 to go toward a community development project of your choice.

Meeting Announcement

Good afternoon, The next meeting of the ReCAST (Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma) Coalition will be held in Room 801  from 1:30 – 3:30 pm  in Room 801 of City Hall (the Governmental Building).  The building is located at  222 St. Louis Street .  If you park in the East or West Parking Garage, you may validate your parking ticket on the 3 rd  floor in the Office of the Mayor-President. Correction: Our June meeting will feature presentations from Matthew Mullenix (MetroMorphosis) and Dr. Lisanne Brown  of Louisiana Public Health Institute.  You will also receive an update on the teen survey results. Caitlyn LaVine (Louisiana Department of Health & EBRACE) will present during July 2019. An agenda is forthcoming prior to this meeting.
