November 19, 2020 -- The Monthly meeting of the RCBR Coalition was held from 1:30-3:00 PM today as an online event in light of the persistent COVID-19 pandemic in our community. The meeting featured a panel discussion titled, " Getting to the Heart of ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences): A Case Study ," and presented by expert coalition members, Pastor Donald Hunter of Evaluative and Development Services, Dr. Anna West of Humanities Amped, Renetta Bell of Eternal Crisis Outreach, and Minister Tremaine Sterling of the 29:11 Academy. Presenters focused on the need for in-home evaluation of children suffering from trauma and exhibiting behaviors consistent with stress, anxiety and physical dangers experienced within their homes. Members emphasized the need for data-based approaches to treatment that can target specific causes of trauma with the most effective interventions.
