ReCAST Holds July Meeting Online

WITH the Baton Rouge community still imperiled by the COVID-19 pandemic, ReCAST held its July Monthly Meeting online. A lively and full discussion took place, with updates from more than a dozen coalition members. Two points of particular focus were a new online system to help members contribute project metrics, and the piloting of a new Implicit Bias Toolkit, to help members and the general public test and evaluate their own preconceptions around race and other pertinent social issues.

Good afternoon, The next meeting of the ReCAST (Resiliency in Communities After Stress and Trauma) Coalition will be held in Room 801  from 1:30 – 3:30 pm  in Room 801 of City Hall (the Governmental Building).  The building is located at  222 St. Louis Street .  If you park in the East or West Parking Garage, you may validate your parking ticket on the 3 rd  floor in the Office of the Mayor-President. Correction: Our June meeting will feature presentations from Matthew Mullenix (MetroMorphosis) and Dr. Lisanne Brown  of Louisiana Public Health Institute.  You will also receive an update on the teen survey results.
