March 19, 2020 RCBR Coalition Meeting

CANCELLED DUE TO VIRUS RESPONSE:

Dear Coalition Members:
ReCAST Baton Rouge and the Office of the Mayor-President want to thank you for your continuous support of the RCBR Coalition and its grant activities.  In light of worldwide concern regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), this communication serves to inform you while ReCAST Baton Rouge is taking precautions to protect our staff and you, the regularly scheduled monthly RCBC Coalition meeting will be held this Thursday, March 19, 2020, beginning at 1:30 pm. Note:  This meeting may end prior to our usual adjournment time of 3:30 pm.

Once you enter Room 801, you will find hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes for your use.
However, a word of caution--if you have recently traveled out-of-the-country, out-of-state within the last 30 days, or have been exposed to an ill person—within the last 14 days—before they developed flu-like symptoms, please consider whether or not the exposure to spreading the virus exists.  You may also want to contact your medical provider.

The March 19 meeting topic, “Disenfranchised Grief,” promises to be interesting and engaging.  Our presenter will be Pamela Weems, LCSW, of Family Services of Greater Baton Rouge.  We will also discuss the position the Coalition may take on COVID-19.

You may opt to join this meeting in person in Room 801 of City Hall or via telephone by dialing 605-313-5725; Access Code 21440.

Each of us should continue to take proactive measures against the spread of COVID-19.  Please see the following website for further information:  https:cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/about/index.html.
