Metro 21 Airs Resiliency Summit Highlights in New Video

A compilation of highlights from the July 30, 2019 community event, "A Resiliency Summit: Moving Past Trauma," convened by the ReCAST BR Coalition and other service providers and speakers, has been shared by city broadcast platform Metro 21.

The event was held to educate audiences on the “many faces of trauma” while promoting and showcasing local and national individuals, organizations and other communities that have experienced trauma, as Baton Rouge did during the tragic events of 2016 that included racially-charged gun violence, protests and widespread flooding.

Summit participants convened in numerous break-out sessions throughout the day-long event held at Baton Rouge Community College to discuss collective healing efforts and understandings around community change through healing, growth and anti-violence measures.
